To draw a sketch with a given overarching theme every day for a given number of days. Currently the goal is to draw for 15 days, but that may be increased to 30 depending on how the initiative progresses.
Requirements:
Draw a sketch or series of sketches each day, that will fill the approximate area of a 3inch by 5inch index card or greater. Exceeding these minimum requirements is highly encouraged, but not required. Inking and/or coloring is completely optional.
Remember that these images are simply sketches. They do not need to be finished pieces. If you can't get a face, hand or some other detail just right, you can post the sketch without it.
Rules:
1) No repeats! You can't draw the same image over and over again. Try your best to do something different each day.
2) Each day must have a new sketch. Adding to a sketch from a previous day does not count towards the challenge. Similarly, you cannot draw 'ahead'.
3) Have fun! Nothing will come out perfect, these are supposed to be rough sketches!
How to Participate:
Pick a theme, and draw a sketch for it every day. You don't need to update sketches on DA daily, but it's a good way to keep yourself honest. If you miss a day, don't worry about trying to 'catch up', just make sure you draw something for the following day, and the days thereafter. For example: you draw days 5, 6, 8 and 9. Don't post anything for day 7, and label your sketch for Day 8 as Day 8.
At the very least, date your sketch so that you can keep track of which ones were done in what order. This way you can update at a more convenient time. I realize not everyone has a computer, scanner or camera available every day of the week.
The Daily Drawing Challenge starts when you say it does. It doesn't have to start at the beginning of a new month. Simply pick a set time period (15 days or longer) and have at it!
Reason:
To practice drawing! Quality doesn't matter, so long as one sketch is done daily. The idea is that with daily practice, you will inevitably improve upon whatever task you have undertaken.

Oh, and writing. Because yeah, I'm in the middle of a large story-arc.
